Your compression testor should have instructions. You will pull all spark plugs, unplug the injectors and the dist, insert the pressure gauge hose into a cylinder and crank the engine 4 times at each cylinder, observing the way it pumps up and recording the maximum pressure. If any are low squirt in a little motor oil and repeat for that cylinder.
If two adjacent cylinders are low you likely have a blown head gasket, if any cylinders are low and come up with oiling you have worn rings, if low but don't come up with oiling you have worn valve seats.
You can do a warm compression test but be careful of those exhaust manifolds, especially on #8 cylinder.
