What's the difference in linkages between an automatic and manual equipped setup on the throttle body of a 89/91 car? I just bought a complete setup off EBAY but it was from a six speed. I'm installing this on a automatic 700/R4 (1980) Corvette.
Hope I don't have to buy another throttle body from an automatic. Can anyone help?
Not sure if any difference but I do know you'll need a place to hook the TV cable to. If the manual linkage doesn't have that you'll need to come up with something.
My April 1989 Corvette parts book only goes to '89 on the throttle body. There is no distinction between transmissions for 1989. For that year, they are all 17089023.
That is my question skateparkdave.....does the manual version have the arm required for the TV cable or is it missing all together.
Anybody!
I did a little research and as CFI-EFI has indicated, the literature I have also shows no difference. I think the hole for the TV cable is there on the TB linkage with a manual, just not used.
