Zf-6 Fluid Type????

Anybody Have Any Suggestions On What Type/grade Of Fluid To Use In My Zf-6 Trans????? Bmw/amsoil/royal Purple??????? The Car Sees Allot Of Track Type.

I have had good results with GM's Synthetic recommended in the service manual. A lot of guys use the Castrol oil from the BMW dealers. I'd go with either one.

thanks Tom. I figured while it was on the rack getting a new rearend put in, i would do this as well.

the castrol oil is a full synthetic, TWS 10-60, and is available ONLY from your local BMW dealer. Expect to pay about 8.00 per litre, and you will need 3 bottles... two bottles are just short of the required 2.2 quarts (2.1 litres).
