So how do you set the fan temperature settings on a 94 without a Hypertech?

Since that's all I want to do $300+ is a bit expensive (even for a Vette).

Thanks,

I had the same problem with my 1994, so I ordered a manual fan switch from Mid America. My car used to get up to 230 degress in city driving. Now I turn the manual switch on for city driving and the temp stays fom 190-205 depending on temp and how much traffic there is. The switch kit is cheap, about $29.99 or something like that, and is east to install.

hey john, there are several guys on this forum that do custom program chips (i don't know of any personally) but you could just put out a new post and title it paging all chip burners....maybe they can help with your problem?!?!

I have the same situation with my 94..high temp in city and in traffic. When you find a cheap way to take care of let me know.

85_togo - The 94-96 don't have removable chips. I guess there a flash eprom that can be updated in place.

chuck94vet - I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks,

I can't remember my phone number much less remember to flip a fan switch. I opted for the $315 solution but don't regret paying it.
