when I drive sometimes I hear the speedo turning. "I think" thats what its doing.

Well, it's certainly not the speedo itself but probably the tiny electric motor that drives the odometer. I seem to recall some tiny plastic gears in that assembly. You might want to remove the cluster and use some white lithium grease sparingly on the gears.
