Ok I have just (for the third time, I kept hoping I was doing something wrong) tried again to adjust my TPS switch. When I adjust the switch so that at rest it is @ .64v, when I then open the throttle I only get 3.99v or so. When I adjust the switch so that it reads 4.6v @ WOT, when I relax the throttle it reads .78v or so. Am I missing something? I have jumpered the ALCL to extend the IAC pintle and removed the plug from the IAC to keep it from retracting before adjusting the TPS switch. Any pointers? Thanks, Bob
Bob,
Sounds like you may have a tired TPS. Obviously it does not have full range so you either can get the closed reading or open reading right but not both.
Mine is set at .62V closed and runs up to 4.70V @ WOT.
By the way, why are you jumpering the ALDL and disconnecting the IAC?? I did not do that to adjust my TPS. What am I missing?
