I bought my hardtop from a guy that had a 92. It was a straight bolt-on for my 89. Just make sure you get the brackets and bolts that fasten to each "B" piller post and hardtop. 1 bracket with 5 bolts/washers for each side.
It should fit; best way if the 93 is nearby is to take your vert there and try it on.
The factory hardtop package also came with a T40 torx ratchet like the coupes had and a small wrench for the encapsulated bolts in the rear locating pins with a little pouch. There was also a decklid pad to protect the paint. Get those too if the donor car has them. All of the hardtops had a black interior color and the decklid protector is black too.
Your 89 should also have an electrical pigtail for connecting the rear defogger. Look under the carpet between the passenger side shoulder belt fastening tower and the ragtop frame at the front swivel bolt. It should be orange or orange/white and about 6" long. If this 93 had the hardtop as a factory option (RPO CC2) there will also be a ground pigtail on the driver's side. See if you can get that pigtail.
You can always make one but the factory connector isn't available from GM or AC Delco. If you have the standard A/C system (C60) the defogger should work with the heated mirror button.
You are gonna love the way the car feels and drives with the hardtop on. No more cowl shake and its like the roads have been repaved...
Enjoy.
Sometimes I have problems getting the rear-window defroster to work consistently. Seems to be intermittent connectors on the pigtails. You might want to give them a good lookin' at to make sure all is well, on both ends and both sides.
