Ls6
Good luck, buddy. That is an LS1, starts life at 320hp, the blower? DAMN... add over 100hp for that... and assume he has done more to take full advantage.
Sorry, this is just funny. He has sunk about $10,000 in that engine! Insane! And I am guess he is kissing the 500hp mark.
You are starting with half that. How fast do you want to go?
You need something drastic - a 383 or 396 stroker motor. Add a blower to that and you will be in the 600hp range. But you won't have much change from $15k. Cubic horsepower cost cubic dollars.
I saw a Camaro - 94/95 or so, hence, LT1 - down in FL a few years back. It was a 383 with blower and tons of stuff on it, close to 600hp. Evil sounding.
A couple of years back, GM High Tech Performance did a side bar - this cause some shuddering here and there at the time - they had this 01 Camaro SS with an LS1, the 1/4 mile numbers were insane. So they put it on a chassis dyno... 321 rwhp, on a car rated at 327 crank hp. That just don't add up. Either the SS's were seriously underrated, or, that car was a ringer.
