Default Injectors

350 TPI FUEL INJECTORS ROCHESTER 22 LB CORVETTE CAMARO
MATCHED WITHIN 1% !!! only 4K Miles !!!

I have an 88 roadster cut air lid, air foil on TB and a ported plenum, will the above injectors work properly? I think I'm suposed to have 22# injectors? I don't want to have to start messing with any of the electronics, if it will run lean or rich. Mr6SPD is selling them on Ebay.

I think '89 was the first year of the Multec fuel injectors (which these appear to be), so they're not exactly the same as on your '88 but they should fit fine and I believe they're the same flow rating as the '88 ones were.

Personally I'm leary of the early Multec injectors, 5 of mine were bad by 20k miles.

Agent 86 asks a good question, why are you looking to change injectors?

If you decide to buy the Multec injectors from ebay, let me know, I'll take your old ones off your hands!

Good luck. I bought a set of Multecs from a forum member for $75. They were supposedly flow matched and all that jazz... I put them on the car, 2 didn't flow a drop, and 2 of them sprayed fuel out like a waterhose. Only 4 of them had a spray pattern resembling anything that'd make your car run better than crap.

I have yet to check the resistance values. I do not smell any fumes(leaks) at any time but the car is starting to turn over more before it starts and I believe they are the original injectors. 126K Kilometers about 78K miles and I'm getting 12.2 Liters per 100 kilometers, or about 19.24 miles per US gallon.

I really would like to get a few more miles per gallon, but then maybe I shouldn't have such aheavy foot. I guess the question is the miles/gallon OK?
Suggestions.

Do some diagnostics before throwing new injectors in

OK so I know what a Carburetor(my shot at sarcasm) looks like (or the injectors in this case) but what in particular do you do to an injector or diagnose in the fuel delivery system that might be giving you bad mileage (miles/gal)?

I Think The 88 Still Had The "cold-start Injector". If It Does, I'ed Take A Look At The Temperature Switch And Associated Wiring, Connectors, Etc.
