Crack in front bumper .
Hello Corvette people
I have a friend of mine he has a 1984 coupe , he had a small accident and he cracked the front bumper , it`s not that big crack , it starts from the right fog lamp to about 5 inches down ! Can you fix urethane bumpers ?
Because there is a place where they can fix plastic bumpers but I don`t know about corvette bumpers if they fix or not !
So is it fixable ?

There is a flexible epoxy repair material that 3m and others make. I have seen it work once or twice. Any decent damage usually comes back to haunt you in the future. My $.02 is not to use it but to change out the cover.

3M makes a plastic repair. It is for urethane bumpers and is a 2 part mixture that you apply and sand to a smooth finish like you would do with bondo. Make sure you drill a small hole at each end of the crack before applying the repair so the crack will not go any further. If there is a shop that fixes plastic bumpers then they can do it for him.
