Anything you can do to help the L98 breath is good, but don't expect huge gains. Just a little quicker throttle response.

The chip and the cold air will help. Exhaust will also help a little and will give you a better sound. Pullies are always good for a few ponies also.

Heads and cam are the ultimate in power increase.

Optimize your current set-up first... most people can run several tenths quicker as they sit and don't know it.

Sticky tires and if you have an auto, a good torque converter will have the greatest effect short of going into the motor.

good luck

Torque converters can run from $300 to thousands. A good one is the Vigilante. It runs $700 usually. A recommended stall speed for a street vette is 2600-3000. 3000+ is getting unstreetable (is that a word.. hehe)

I'd opt for a Superram intake system for max real performance gains. The next one would be the Torque converter.

You should try the lower temp thermostat but I would skip the rest of those mods. 40-50 hp sounds a bit high. More like 10-15 and most of that will be from the thermostat change.

Don't expect 40-50 HP from those mods, though they will be beneficial. Since you have a SD intake a chip is likely a good idea.

Check out the "easy" mods on my site, with results and cost. I've also removed that "frisbee" for a free 10 HP gain, added the March Underdrive crank pulley for .1 sec off my ET and am now trying to install 1.6:1 ProMagnum full roller rockers. Cutting back the spark plug ground electrodes is another free 10 HP.

I'm also sending you data from a CF build up on an L98. Sorry, if you want this info e-mail me and I'll respond with it.
