Quick question. 89 L98, installed msd coil, cap. 2 bushings are included, a low resistance bronze, and a standard black one. I would like to make use of added voltage, however I don't want to burn up rotors or hurt my digital tach. Also added MSD wires and AC rapid fires. What to do?!
Don't think too much about it,.... the low resistance is for use w/ the MDS7 or higher series ign. If you use the std button, the heat generated by the extra ign current will melt the cap. Don't kid yourself into thinking the extra volt or 2, will do anything more for your spark. i.e. There is no performance gain w/ using either one. If you have the factory ign use the std button. If you wanna use the low resistance button and tell yourself, you da man, feel free.

Not running an MSD ign. Just want a strong reliable spark. Are you saying the standard (black)will cause a meltdown and to use the bronze? I know I wont notice any sotp power, but I guess every bit helps. Thanx!
