I just got through by passing the hot water running thru the throttle body.Has anybody done this and what effects should i expect good or bad? any noticable diff? The car is a super clean `90 L98 , hi performance chip, borla cats, cut air box, wires ect..... what about the smog pump (i belive). can it go? what effect`s would that have as far as inspections go.

The TB coolant bypass will reduce intake air temp and increase power, though maybe not enough to feel.

Removing the AIR pump likely won't pass a visual inspection. But you can pick up 10HP by removing that "frisbee" from the front of your water pump pulley.

What did you use? A little trick and it looks really high tech. Use a 90 or 110 degree #10 Aeroquip fitting and there blue silicone hose. You put the corresponding fitting into the intake and then connect the hose and fitting to it and it looks great.
