I am in the process of fixing a rear transmission seal leak on my S-10 blazer which has the same auto tranny as the late C4's (the 4L60E). I have the drive shaft off and have already flushed the tranny fluid and have a new filter in, but I can't get that darn rear seal off to put the new one on.

Any tips??????

Thanks!! (pics when i'm done)

if that seal looks like anyother round seal, you will need a special tool called a - get this - "seal puller"!

they are flat claw hammer looking things. you can get one cheap at pepboys...

Nevermind.. i got it. I used a very small screw driver and hammer around it lightly and pried it off.

Thanks though, next time I'm at the auto store I'll pick one of these up .
