Can I lower the passenger rear 1" with the stock bolt? The driver's side is 1" lower (NEW SHOCKS TOO) and it bothers the hell out of me. how do i do it? thanks.

Vash,
I doubt thereis enought length on the rear spring bolts to drop the side another inch. Most folks I have read comment that the passenger side usually is about an inch different from the driver side.
You can buy a lowering kit for about 40 bucks or take one of the bolts off the car and buy a set of grade 8 bolts that are about an inch longer. (Sorry I'm not sure what the size of thebolts are...)
This should give you sufficent length to get the rear level left to right.
The bolts i'm speaking about are on each end of the rear spring they have a cotter pin run through the castle nut.
hope this helps!

Same here. My left front shock is leaking but it sounds like that will not make a difference. Bummer.
I would like to lower the car but the roads are real bad here. What are the characteristics of lowering a 96 1"? Level it at that time - correct?
Thanks,
Dave

I have changed my sway bar and I noticed the stock bar and the new GM 30mm bar have a slight twist to them that lowers the left front just a tad which raises the right rear. Is there a reason for this? Is there a torque issue here they are compensating for?

I used the stock length bolt on the driver's side and a longer bolt on the passenger side to level mine.
The longer bolt allowed me to lower the passenger side until it was even with the driver's side.

Along with the longer rear bolts, I made shims for the front spring. Now, it sits just about right, except the stiff VB front spring won't let me lower the car.
