You won't need simms for your 94. Your car only has 1 O2 sensor per side. If you had an OBD-II car you would want simms to replace the ones that were after the cats. You're going to have to leave in your existing sensors to tell your computer what's going on.

Drifting
Don't worry about the one O2 sensor behind the right exhaut cat. that was only there so GM could do some pre OBDII testing if you remove it you will not get any "SERVICE ENGINE SOON " light there will be a code set in the PCM in the test OBDII programing, but this is not a problem it dose nothing else but offer GM a way to test some of the systems that would be coming out on the 96 car with the OBDII system.
