85 IAC Valve
Could someone tell me how to check the IAC valve to see if it is working.
My car has a very erratic idle and I want to see if this valve is working properly.

The IAC has a stepper motor which is pulsed by the ECM to move the pintel in & out of the IAC bore under the TB so you can't really test it.
Your best bet is to clean the TB and the IAC pintel & bore with some TB cleaner. Then reset base idle and TPS voltages; there are instructions on my site.
