Default white wire

what is the white wire that has a that is connected by a brown wire what does the other side connect to. I believe it has something to do with the tach because mine is not working and this is the only wire that is not connected

Where does either the wht or brn wire attach to???

Is this a C4? Where is this wire? Inside of the rear bumper?

I think i know what your talking about but more of me dosent. If your talking about the two wires that are on the distributor and on your modle it is white or brown. And thats not connected that would be why your tach is'nt working. Its connected to the coil in the distributor. The tach plugin is the right terminal. The coil cover sais tach on it and below it is the plugin. That goes to the tach "filter" about 1' down the line goin to the tach in the harness. the tach filter bolts to the back of the drivers side cylinder head on the top to ground it. Then from there the wire goes to the instrument cluster.

it is an 86 vette

i think you are right i will try to look at it a little closer and see if the tach filter is on the other end of that wire and try to see where it goes into the car
