I am sorry but I asked already in general, but I need information help. I have a 94 coupe and want to stiffen it up when the top is off. I am wondering if a x member brace off of a 89 vert will bolt under a 94 coupe. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
It will bolt on, but you have to come up with a way of mounting it on the back. The front will mount to existing holes in the frame. You can use nut inserts to mount the back.
To be honest, R&D Racing has a great cross frame for you. Yes you can bolt the vert X-frame on, but you'll need some standoffs (4) and nut inserts in the rear. Also there is a place about mid frame that bolts to the floor. I boxed my vert X-frame for additional strength and less flexing.

Think of the vert x-brace as apiece of "c" channel, weld flat stock on the open side of the "c" and you have boxed it. To box the x-brace you would weld flat stock on the upper side. I just put an x-brace on my 85 coupe and I wish I had thought of this. Oh well, just another project to do sometime.

I thought that would be the answer. Would you do the welding yourself or pay a welder to do it? Does boxing the x brace really make a noticeable differnce? I'm have a camber brace I will be putting on soon but never heard of boxing the x member.
