What will the chip be doing for you?
1/8 mil. times?
Any HP change?
Fuel milage change?

mickey,

You may see a tenth or so second time improvement.

Depending on the tune of your car perhaps 5- 10 hp gain

On my 89 my mileage went up about 2mpg

Biggest advantage in my book is the fan temp change and the torque converter lock-up change.

Whether or not they are a waste of money depends on what you're trying to accomplish. I bought mine to handle the fans and disable CAGS.

If it gives me another 5 HP on a stock motor then that's just an added benefit. It certainly hasn't slowed the car down or caused any problems. Fuel mileage has stayed within +/- .5 MPG of what it was before.

If you're looking for a way to add horsepower to a stock motor then a chip probably isn't where you want to start.
