Been at work all day, went out to the car to start it, it unlocked normally, I saw the Security light flashing like normal, put in the key, then for about 1/2 a second the starter starts, then all shuts down. I thought that maybe the key security kicked in and shut down but I believe it is supposed to reset after a few minutes. Any thoughts on what to do next?

Check around the battery, my 85 has a fuse on a small gauge wire on the positive side. Came lose and it acted just like this.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll take a look around in the morning. The car is still parked at work.

Thanks for the suggestion. The car was still dead this morning. I popped a couple of fuze covers and fiddled around a little and the hood lights came on. The car started right up.

I appreciate your help! It saved me a tow and probably a big bill.

If fiddling saved you a tow bill that's great. I would definitely try to PINPOINT the problem so you don't have it again in the future. If you had a loose connection or something was wrong, then find out WHY. Otherwise it will keep repeating itself (maybe more frequently) or might even cause other damage. Just my $.02!
