has anyone installed new antennae on 1991 Coupe's. It looks like major surgery. I had my auto repair shop tell me it is really a body shop install. Any experiences?

I did my 88 coupe. Should be similar??? It's a little hard to do, but with a little time and patience, you'll get it done. Check in tech tips for more info, and step by step instructions.

I did a replacement on my 89. It took longer than expected, but was not difficult. You need to take the rear left tire off along with the shroud. you will also need some long 3/8" extentions. The Haynes manual has straightforward directions.

My 85 is in need of a new antenna also. Has anyone replaced their electric antenna with a fixed black mast type? If so, any mounting problems I may encounter? I'm not too concerned with keeping it stock.....even my dipstick is on the wrong side.

Thanks,

Mike
