Over two years ago I bought a new fuel pressure gauge to get readings for my fuel injector swap project. Got the before and after readings I needed, job done...put the gauge away. Fast forward to the present...I break out the gauge to trouble shoot an intermittent drop in rpms problem and some near stall incidents. Anyways, the fuel pressure reading is a big fat zero?? The car always starts up on the first crank, the car drives strong, and at WOT the car really goes. Do you think that on the third time use of my gauge that the darn thing is already bad? Or is there some unusual circumstance that my gauge is ok and that my fuel pressure is really nil? Sounds ridiculous but I had to ask. I guess I can always run out there and buy another gauge, but that's another $40 that can be put to better use. BTW, it's one of the ACTRON gauges from Autozone with the pressure relieve button and hose.
Check the end of your gauge hose and see if the pin in the middle will fully depress the the valve on you fuel rail. My hose has an adjustment to set how far that pin will extend when the hose is fully threaded on.
Depress the shraeder valve with something. If there is pressure above 0 lbs, you'll quickly find out

We have a winner!!! It looks like the pin in the connector for the hose broke off. Duh, I should have noticed that!!! And yes, I did take a small flat head to the schraeder valve and leaked out just a wee bit of fuel. Does anybody know if the hose with the connector is replaceable?
