motor swap progress, few pic's
My advice is to use a stock size 153 tooth flywheel and your stock bellhousing. Lakewood might make you a custom one to fit if you need a blowproof bell for drag racing.
well enough on that..
heres a few pics

the 3rd one is from under the vette at the bellhousing, headers are TPIS and thats a canton pan.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
How'd you do that!!!
In picture m20, it looks like you managed to use the tall fabbed valve covers, and retain the wiper motor cover!!!!
Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or is that wiper cover attached????
If so, what's the secret bud???

Joe
????? Im about to install my motor here in a week or so. The engine compartment is covered in grease and I would like to clean everything up so Its appealing to the eye. Any one out there have ideas... I dont want to wash without the motor in since theres so many electrical connections just open and waiting to get screwed up with the water... Ideas????
MrG, the wiper cover is still there, I took the valve cover to work and cut the corner off at a angle then used the cut off piece to fill the opening and welded it up, used wringle paint to hide the repair. I'll take a good pic of that and post it for you.
Nomar116, terrycloth towels and simple green mixed with water, then add lots of elbow grease! I ruined 4 or more towels and cut up the old fingers but it was worth it.(and still have more to do). you don't have to rinse with water just wipe it dry with a dry towel.
other questions I almost missed,
the hood will clear easy, the mini-ram is 1 to 2 inchs lower than stock.
vetnuts: you got that right! I'm going to make this a 3 day W/E and try to get it close to starting it. bet it won't happen till next W/E.

these are pics of the modified valve cover. I've done better welding than what you see on the inside, just wanted a leak free job at the time.
