Besides that, ideally a D44 C beam and drive shaft. The D36 beam can be redrilled but looking at both of mine side by side while they were out, I thought that the new and old holes would be awfully close together. If you used beam plates, then I wouldn't worry. I'm told that some also get away with running the D36 shaft but preferably have it shortened or get the correct one. Also, early rearends, up to what year I'm not sure, will have to have the holes enlarged for the control arm brackets. Not a big deal at all. I used an '85 rear and had to do this.

If you get it from my buddy Ron at Contemporary 1-800-367-8388, he will sell you everything you need as a package. Actually you have no choice, that's the only way he sells them. About $1500-$2000 depending on the gear ratio and what he has in stock. Most likely the 3.45 gears will be what he has the most of.
