It came on yesterday while I was driving. It goes through it's normal stratup of checking the brakes, but after driving the light comes on.

Any ideas????

sounds like a wheel sensor has gone bad. There is another post here which has a link for directions on how to pull the codes so you will know exactly what is wrong. Also, check your brake fluid, if it is low, you will also get the warning.

Jeff,

First, had you been driving over a rough road when the light came on? If so, the code will clear and don't worry about it. If not or it continues coming on every time you drive, then the original lateral accelerometer had a design problem. I can show you how to fix it temporarily until you get a new one. The new one is a completely different design.

please please tell me how to temporarily fix this thing...... .

The code just says signal out of range or incorrect....so either the unit is dead or just messed up.

I wasn't driving over anything rough at the time, so I dunno.

Same problem here.. I suspect it is a code 76 as well.. not sure yet. I too would like to know how to fix the thing and how much a new "lateral accelerometer" costs.. Also it was mentioned to me that if the light comes on and stays on as mine does before even moving,, it is not a wheel sensor since they dont measure anything while standing still..any advice is appreciated..
