sounds like a wheel sensor has gone bad. There is another post here which has a link for directions on how to pull the codes so you will know exactly what is wrong. Also, check your brake fluid, if it is low, you will also get the warning.
First, had you been driving over a rough road when the light came on? If so, the code will clear and don't worry about it. If not or it continues coming on every time you drive, then the original lateral accelerometer had a design problem. I can show you how to fix it temporarily until you get a new one. The new one is a completely different design.
Same problem here.. I suspect it is a code 76 as well.. not sure yet. I too would like to know how to fix the thing and how much a new "lateral accelerometer" costs.. Also it was mentioned to me that if the light comes on and stays on as mine does before even moving,, it is not a wheel sensor since they dont measure anything while standing still..any advice is appreciated..
