Tranny Cooler Works
You da man, Leo.
I mounted it in front of the A/C condenser like you said. Really was not a problem cuz a
couple of bolts for the air dam lined up perfect with the holes in the
cooler. I just had to take a strap and bend it about 90 degrees and cut for
1" length. It's the first thing the air hits on the way through the
radiator.
I totally bypassed the radiator, as you suggested.
Cruising at 75 mph (93 air temp) tranny temp is 170 instead of 203
Around town is 175-180 instead of 210-215
Oil temp dropped from 221 to 213
Water temp always 197 to 201 instead of 197-210.
Water and tranny temps recover to the low figures very rapidly.
If I had to pick some average figures based on 90* air temps, I'd say the
reductions were:
Tranny = 30 degrees
Water = 8 degrees
Oil = 7 degrees
I'm really happy with it. Thanks for your help.
