Intermitten Headlight Problem??
It didn't bother me terribly. I actually had bought a used headlight motor at one point and it had the wiring harness on it. It took a little time but I was able to replace that connector using the spare parts that I had. This morning when I got in the car both lights were burning. I know this because I start the car in the garage and turn on the headlights while it's still in the garage.
As I was driving around campus this morning, working my way to a parking spot I got behind another vehicle. I couldn't tell for sure but it looked like my passenger side headlight was out? I thought, well alright maybe the bulb is just blown. When I parked the car I got and low and behold that bulb wasn't burning. I tapped the lens with my knuckle and it started burning
So my obvious question now is WTF? Is it possible that this is just the bulb or is it the wiring harness again? I really hadn't planned on it, but I guess I'll spend tomorrow investigating this problem. If it is the same problem with the wiring harness again what could possibly be causing it? My headlights are aftermarket housings with replaceable bulbs, but they are stock wattage so they shouldn't be drawing excess current.
I ended up jamming the wire in there and soldering the hell out of it! However, that is only a stop gap until I install the new pigtails I ordered from Chris...
