I just start it and go. 147,000 miles and no problems.

The Corvette, like all cars, is the sum of all its parts. Transmission, wheel bearings, etc. A few minutes of fairly easy driving should bring the tires and everything else close to "normal" operating temperatures. I idle my 6-speed (in neutral) for a minute or so before I hit the road and after a couple of miles, I drive "as usual". The thing is, these Ladies are tougher than most people assume, but why punish them needlessly?
