When I try to put the throttle body to WOT it wont go without a large amount of pressure. Then I hear a snap and everything is back to normal. Are you suppose to use a lot of pressure to get it to WOT while adjusting the TV cable or should it be pretty gentle? Also, if this is not normal what has gone wrong? Thanks.

I did this on my 90. I never had any of the problems youre mentioning. I told my tranny shop what I was doing to it, and I think he set it up for me so I couldnt adjust it too far either way. I simply set it as far into the casing as is possible, and got great response... I did have the same problem where anytime I floored it it reset itself. Im looking for an answer to this problem, probably cant be of more help otherwise.

Yeah, it sounds like you are tearing it up but in reality, you are actually pulling the outside of the cable thru the adjuster. It is a ratcheting type of mechanism so it does have a fair amount of resistance. It scared me the first time I did it too. I thought that I'd broken the cable You're probably ok.
