I have a 91. Is it easy to replace the cap and rotor?
If so, how easy and whats the procedure and how long should it take, or should I not even bother, and let the shop do it.
While I've haven't changed the cap and rotor yet on my '89 L98, it doesn't look too bad at all--might be a bit tough getting to some of the screws that hold down the cap, but doesn't look impossible.
I'd guess it would take about an hour to remove and replace, assuming you've never done this before and you're taking your time.
dailo - you will want some Di-electric grease for the wires. Makes them more moisture resistant. Which in Hong Kong is a good thing. Also makes them easier to remove.

Easiest way I found is a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, and a flexible 1/4 " drive steel extension I found at OSH in the tool section. Also works great for the lower runner bolts using a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter right before the Torx bit!
