Emergency brake will not work
Help 
I have a 96 LT1. I replaced the rear pads. I used a tool to Push in the Caliper piston. Since then my emergency brake will not work.
Any ideas out there?

On my '88 it isn't necessary to adjust the parking brake unless the calipers have been serviced.
What is the parking brake failure mode, i.e. does it not hold the vehicle, does it not move the pads?
Have you applied/released the parking brake 3 times, to set the auto adjuster?

If you've already reset the piston position then you should just have to set and release the brake several (read: can take 20-30 times) to re-set the auto adjuster just like 65Z01 said.
