Anybody ever done this on here...Does anyone make headers for this combo... We are thinking about dropping one in a 91 6 speed coupe and looking for info that might save some heartache...Thanks in advance...love this forum

It can be done... it has been done... but there is a lot of custom fabrication that has to be done to make it happen.

I would much rather build a big small block.

Oh, there is a weight penalty, too.

How about a 454 small block. You can build one. But to answes your question, its been done. It takes a deep pocket and alot of patience. From what I understand there is alot of fabracating you have to do. Do a search I think someone here has one...

Black Bart has a 455 small block with 18# of boost from a Procharger . There have been several big block swaps on here. Somebody with the right info will chime in.

It's my business partner(who has 3 vettes) not a forum member who wants to do this...I would do a stroker or something instead if it were me... I knew I could put it on here and at least gather some information on the deal...He has a 91 six speed car that someone carburated already so he figured it might be a good one to make a big block car out of...

I agree with bogus. Small blocks can be difficult enough to work on in vettes;not to mention wight, and the fact that vettes, especially BB vettes are one giant heat sink underhood. Cooling issues, etc. Not trying to discourage you, but its far more cost effective to build a 454 as mentioned above that would stay with the best of them and still handle.

I agree with everyone that the small block would be the better choice, but you gotta admit, that big block really looks intimidating under that hood, exspecially with those turbos.

D&M Corvette dropped a 454 into a C4 around 1991 or so.
Vanity plates were "ZR WHAT".
Located in Downers Grove, Illinois on Ogden Ave.
Owner is Dave.

i wouldn't call ZZ572 "all out". There has been plenty big blocks installed in c4s. if you go to any corvette shows you will see them. A LS motor in a C4 is much more rare. So if "your friend" is looking for something that is rare and unique. Tell them to do a TT LS motor in a C4.

BTW: Tonydee64 is got a 502 big block with a procharger in his C4. Go to the C4 FI section to see his pictures.
