50MSpts injectors
First off, I have the same injectors in my 91 (the pink top ones) and they installed without any problems. This 88 has apparently has some minor differences in the fuel rails and injector ports that won't allow the seals to seat both top and bottom. The 50 M.S. injectors are about 3/16" shorter than the stock injectors. After leaking on every the first installation 2 weeks ago (it's was also 6:00 PM on a Sat.) we re-installed the old injectors with new seals. We started again this AM. Finished injector swap, installed new plug wires, fuel filter, O2 sensor, drained and re-filled differential in less than 6 hours, even with some problems.
Here's the fix(es):
1- get larger seals. The new seals are about 1/32" larger OD and sealed all but 2 injectors.
2- file the towers on the manifold. We took about .020+ off the four towers with a file.
Since the fuel rail has some play, it doesn't seem to need to be "exact". Make sure that all the shavings are vacuumed up.
We re-installed the rails and tested. No leaks!
So, If you opt to get the 50MS injectors (for the bucks and the service from Bruce, the are terrific), make sure you get the larger seals, check for leaks before you re-install the runners and plenium, and if necessary, file the rail towers.
BTW, Bruce was pretty helpful with information over the phone when we first started this project and had problems. He really is a stand up guy.

I had to do nothing to my 86 when I installed the pink tops. I used the O rings that came with them and used my factory clips.
ME2---put a set in my `87. No problems at all. Runs fine
