Hey guys don't ignore my post for HELP! Is there anyone out there who might have an idea why a 91 Coupe/Auto will not start.
Is there anyone on Long Island with mechanical skills who can give me a hand. Send me a private message, and we can work something out, time is money, I understand that.
Do you think we are clairvoyent? How can we help you when you do not describe your symptoms? What do you mean by , "not start"? Does the starter crank the engine but it won't catch and run? or does the starter not crank the engine?

However, we will be glad to help but you need to expand on your symptoms and what you may have already checked... in your post.
The car was working fine yesterday, but when I got it back to the garage I noticed that the Vortex rammer filter became detatched, and I reattached. Today, I took it for a ride, and the car felt as if the timing was off, and hesitating through the gear shifts until it finally died. It cranks, but sounds as if there is no fuel. I put fresh gas in, and it cranks and cranks, but won't start. I suspect the fuel pump, but don't know how to test it nor do I have a tester. Any suggestions.
You really need a fuel pressure guage to see what the pressure is at the fuel rail. In a pinch, turn the key on, don't start the engine.....you should be able to hear the fuel pump run for about 2 seconds that primes the fuel system. Then push the plunger in on the shrader valve (like a bicycle valve stem) which is on the fuel rail to see if you have fuel being delivered to the injectors. Also check for spark at the plugs to be sure you have 'fire'.
