Evaporator Removal

Evaporator Removal
I am about to remove the Evaporator and blower motor so I can repaint the frame. Does anyone have tips on how to do this? Will I need to go into the car to remove anything or with the evaporator cover and evaporattor just slide out? See picture below. Thanks in advance

Looking at your picture, everything that needs to out of the way is. Otherwise, I like to split the case and take it out piecemeal, but that shouldn't be necessary with all that you've all ready taken off. Just make sure all the gas is safely out of it before you disconnect any lines and cover up the inlet and outlets with baggies, condoms (or what have you) to keep the dirt and moisture out.

It looks like it'll be fairly easy with the engine out. However, be very careful with the heater core inlet and outlet tubes, as the solder joints are easy to break if you apply pressure. When I replaced my evaporator core I damaged one of these, so part 2 of my evaporator core job was the dreaded heater core replacement.
