MPH Question For Mojo or Others
Went to Beech Bend today and made 4 runs, all between 13.38 & 13.44 Iam very happy with that but my mph was 99.6 & 99.2 on my first 2 runs, then I ran a 104.91 on my 3rd and a 100.2 on my last run. The car felt the same on all runs and was still pulling strong through the traps. All 1/8 mile speeds were at 82 mph... Any ideals or suggestions??

Well that 5mph change is 50chp....what's up with that??? I could see the 99.x to 100 as normal variation, but the 104 is our of range.
It's most likely a timer error, like would be caused by a leaf blowing across the 1/4 mile beams after you went through the first set of beams but just before you got to the 1/4 mile beams.
Once late this season I had a trap speed of 126mph (normal is 100-101) with the same ET as on all other runs.

Did you have some wheel spin on your best MPH run? Mine aways jumps up when there wheel spin. That and when the motor is really cold.

i would agree with Jim! timing error.....
earlier this year some of us had 666mph at the 1/8thI even had one at 27 mph at the 1/8th but 103 at the 1/4.

Good point, the car sat the longest before that run and it was the slowest 60 ft of the day at 1.99 the best was 1.94. BTW great lookin car!!

I've had a few screwy time slips with one second higher, and one second lower 1/8th mile e.t.'s and mph. Leaves flying around is probably the culprit.
I saw 65Z01's timeslip one time and it read 112 mph! Funny, because that car has never run anywhere near that
