Default Flashing security light

Got an issue with my security light flashing after the car has been started. It will flash for roughly 25 seconds. I have no starting issues, car fires right up.

Have not checked proper function of the alarm system either. Also have no "SYS" on the speedo.

Anybody come across this before?

that is odd... it could be a problem in the CCM...

jump A and G on the ALDC and get the codes.

The CCM will be first, then the ECM then the ABS/ASR codes. they will display on the speedo.

It will flash a C12, meaning Current 12 - the normal initial code to indicate contact with the computer.

It will then show Segment 1, C12 and --- if nothing else is stored. If another code is shown, it will be a Cxx for current or Hxx for stored history code. Then the --- will show at the end of displayed codes.

This will follow for Segments 4 and 9.

Pressing the buttons on the DIC will allow you to go back and review...

I don't remember them off hand, but I can get you the info in the AM.

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks Bogus, I have checked for codes none found in any of the modules. Went ahead and did the clearing and the security light no longer flashes. I'll keep an eye on it though.
