Default Desktop Dyno Favor

I used to have the program Desktop Dyno, but appearantly it's no longer locatable in my house. I am trying to obtain some new numbers for a new combination. Can someone run this info through that program (or one like it)?

What style intake, TPI, carb, single plane, dual plane, etc.?

I don't have Dyno2000 currently loaded onto my PC but will load it tomorrow to get some numbers for you; I may be back with some more questions.

Good question...
LT1 is the intake I'm using. 3" runners (as usual). I would probably use single plane, just because TPI is calibrated for ~26" long runner of TPI.

MANY THANKS!
Ask any other questions that come to mind, I can't remember anymore of what it asks.

I finally got Dyno2000 loaded and here is the data:
1) 501 chp @5,500rpm; 529 ft-lb @4,000rpm; VEm=96.9 @4,500rpm
2) 478 chp @5,500rpm; 513 ft-lb @4,000rpm; VEm=96.0 @4,500rpm
3) 601 chp @5,500rpm; 719 ft-lb @2,000rpm; VEm=96.9 @4,500rpm

Here I used 108deg as the cam installed angle (forgot to ask you) and small headers on the exhaust.

I used a 100-shot as a 125-shot was not an option and I don't know enough about NOS usage to tweak the numbers.

BTW, using large tube heades brought about 10chp more at the peak but lost 2chp (from 174 to 172) at 2,000rpm.

I'm not so sure how close this sw is to an actual engine dyno but at least it shows trends.

OK, I just set up Dyno2000 with my '88 TPI engine parameters and the numbers came out pretty close: 247chp @4,000rpm; 387 ft-lb @2,000rpm.

So, I'm beginning to have more faith in the numbers for your motor.

Many thanks! I really do appreciate it! I'll have to go buy that software again!

Dyno2000 numbers for my Acura NSX were right on. But for the new Vette they were about 50hp off.. Dyno2000 showed 594HP at the flywheel and I am making 437 to the wheels(which is about 545HP at the flywheel if you factor a 20% parasitic drivetrain loss)

I think part of the problem is in modeling the various intakes used.

Dyno2000 models a stock TPI very well but how do I model the siamese base or siamese runners, super-ram, tunnel ram, etc. We only have single plane or dual plane to chose from as options.

If you have dyno pulls on your 400cid build maybe you can try various intakes to see what model brings the power curve close to the dyno.

BTW, I think that 15% DT loss is closer to reality with a 6-speed; for my A4 17% DT loss gave the best correlation between time slips and chassis dyno data taken the same evening.

My dyno2000 has the tunnel ram in the intake selection. 15% loss for a 6-speed, ok. Makes 520hp...I'm going to try to add another 20 to that tomorrow. More tuning on the dyno...Also my numbers were not corrected for temp and humidity. I am sure that the desktop dyno numbers is on a perfect cool, dry day...Also it doesnt factor in the loss from the drive belt and accesories.

Given that it's not the same transmission, but I've seen the majority of T56's & 10 bolts have 12-13% drivetrain loss from engine dyno'd, compared to a chassis' dyno'd.

Do you have any direct data for 15% drivetrain loss through a ZF & Dana IFS system?
