Default What Size (Physically) are the fog lights?

I am looking around a fog lights, one of mine burned out, and before I do the 885 swap, I looked for actual HID fog lights.

I found these. The recommend 3" x 6.5" x 5". Would that fit in a C4? How much room do the original fog lights acutally take up?

I am looking at doing a hella H4 kit swap link, specifically the H6054J kit. At a 6th of the cost of a HID conversion, it looks really good. I already have the silverstars on there, and they are alot better than stock, but they are not bright enough for me. I do considerable amount of night driving, and almost all the time I am on streets that are unlight, so its really dark.

I have the Hella lamp housing in my 92 and I'm using the APC Xenon bulbs. Great light output and the low beam has a design that keeps glare down when driving in fog or rain. The H4 lamps are a direct replacement fit for the factory headlamps and the slightly heavier weight of the glass lamps should not be a problem for the stock headlamp gears and motors. Summit Racing has the Hella housings for $40 each and you can probably find APC Xenon H4 bulbs at AutoZone or Shucks/Kragen auto parts stores.

The fog lamps are an entirely different issue. The factory fog lamp housing is intergrated with the turn signal housing and the entire thing is plastic and sealed except for where the bulb attaches.

In order to remove the housing, you will have to remove the front bumper cover and then you can remove the fog/turn lamp housing. Once you get to that point, you will have to figure out how to separate the turn signal housing and re-seal it and attach it to the bumper cover. Then you have to fashion some bracketry in order to mount aftermarket fog lamps. This would not be a fun swap to do.

If you can get away with not running a front plate (Does TX laws require one??) there are kits available for mounting driving lights in the front plate mounting area. The vette accessory catalogs used to show them so you may want to check with Mid America or Eckler's.
