one error, they said the LT5 came out in 1994... the 405hp version did.
but! There is a 6 month warrantee on this thing... nice, if they back it up.
all in all, it's a good looking deal.

Hmm, for that kind of money I'll rebuild my LT1 into a forged stroker with a blower on it.

no question, but for someone with a ZR1 and is in need of a drivetrain... that ain't a bad way to go.

The ad says it came out of a 1994 ZR1, not that the LT5 came out in 1994...unless he changed it. Also, the 405 HP version debuted in 1993.

True enough! But if you already have an LT5 and had the cash, having a spare might come in handy in another few years.

He does have a point. I don't know if you have seen older cars (non-vettes) with Vette engines. I saw an old Bel-Air that had a really pretty TPI L98 in it. The guy was bragging up and down the block about it having a "Vette Motor" Since we drive vettes, I think we forget having a Vette motor is pretty awesome. Now imagine popping the hood on your 66 chevelle to find an LT5. Talk about one of a kind!!!!
(I'd still rather have it in a a Z though...)

Pretty damn spiffy, all aluminum too - probably a few pounds lighter? Probabaly would end up with a rear-bias car after that sucker went in;
