Due to a cam the cruise control is seeing less vaccum and now it isnot hold the speed constant I thinking I may have to put a vaccum canister in line, what yall think?
How much vacuum is the engine pulling at cruise conditions?
Vaccum at idle will be a lot lower than during cruise, so don't use idle vacuum readings as your reference.
Put a vacuum gauge on the engine and bring it up to about 2000 RPMs and take a reading. I don't know what cam you're running, but if your reading is above 14", your cruise should work okay, if all else is well.
I'd then suspect a leaking vacuum hose, leaking bladder or vacuum cannister.
