Default Needs ideas for lighter C4 brake components

I have a Shelby Cobra replica with suspension and brakes from a 1988 Corvette. As the car weighs about 2400 pounds, I've got plenty of stopping power even when I take it to the track. I'd like to go with lighter rotors and calipers that can stand up to occasional track use. Can anyone suggest suitable components?

I can't help you with the brake info but I'm sure you're trying to lessen unsprung weight. Are you using stock replacement shocks in the factory location? If you haven't done so, and if for only at the track, make some additional mounts to relocate and/or allow the use of Heim joint racing shocks and install them upside down so the body of the shock is at the top. I haven't raced in a long time but hopefully this is still possible with today's shocks. And may I say that you have the two dream cars from the days of my youth, growing up in the sixties! Very nice!

Drilled & slotted should be a little lighter but may not do much.

You may be able to get Ti rotors but would bet they would be pricy; check with some of the vendors listed down the left side of this page.

Mass is the ONE thing you need to handle/dissipate heat. Keep the mass and brake deep. There are however two sizes of C4 gear 12" and 13" fronts.

I would take a look at the Baer Edradispeeds(2 piece) they are supposed to be like 7 lbs lighter. I will say that when I upgraded from stock 12" to stock 13", the weight difference was 6.5 lbs PER rotor heavier!!
