Got an oil pressure question????
Oil pressure is at 80psi, when I first start it up, cruzin', highway, idle, it just stays at 80psi, I know this is not normal. What do you think the problem is?

The sending unit is not sending, for one reason or another. With the wire disconnected the gauge defaults to the maximum reading. The sending unit may be bad, or you may have a faulty connection.

The sending unit is not sending
I had the same problem a couple weeks ago after the new transmission was installed. While installing the new tv. cable the mech. pulled the wire off the oil preasure sending unit, right behind the distributer. Had to pull distributor cap to put it back on.
