Default Help..my brakes are acting up.

I have a '91 6 speed. My brakes are hard as hell to use all of a sudden, it seems like the power is not working on them. A few days ago they were fine no indication lights. Any advice, or where to start??

It sounds like a vacuum leak or a problem with the power booster.

If you find no leaks you may need to rebuild/replace the power booster.

Hey Jim....After all the problems you just went through, you should be an "expert" on this subject.

sounds like you lost vacuum to the booster.

Thoroughly check the vacuum line from the manifolr to the brake power booster, Spraing a little carb cleaner around the line, with the engine running should tell you if you have a vacuum leak

If not a leak, then I think you are a candidate for a new booster

Could it be a vacuum leak or the power booster went. Check the vacuum line first, it thats OK, then go with a reman power booster.
