I'm pulling the trans out of my 93 and I can't figure out how the heck I can get the TV cable disconnected at the trans. Does anyone have any pointers on how to do this? Or can I unhook it up top and just pull the cable down with the trans?
If there is a 10mm bolt that holds the assembly to the trans, you can unbolt it and pull up on the assembly, rotate it 90 degrees and it should slip off the rod that goes in the trans.
Thank you for your reply I gave that a try and I still could not get it. So I did it the "hillbilly way" I bent the rod out where it goes thru the arm and pried it out. Now when I put it back in I will need to bend it back to keep it from falling out. That will teach it to mess with me again.. Now I only have two more bolts and she's down (hopefully not onto my head) even with the bottom of the car 20+ inches in the air my tranny jack is still to tall so I'm just useing a floor jack and wood. Wish me luck.
