LT4 Mufflers anyone?

Just curious on the difference over stock LT1 mufflers.
I'm looking for a little bit better flow but I don't want the noise/resonance associated with many of the aftermarket ones.
Thanks, Graham

The tips are definately not OEM style for an LT4..
Good price for a complete system....wonder what material..

One thing I noticed about the LT4 system was that it was much quieter than the stock LT1 system for some reason... I'm guessing it was the crossover at the rear right before the mufflers...
It was kind of funny, my Vette was quieter than my Eldorado, and the Eldo was running the stock mufflers...
Those are definately not stock mufflers in the pictures though... It does appear to be LT4 piping though, you can see the crossover at the rear...

In your sig: Flowmaster Force II Cat-Back System (No resonance)
You have this package with no resonance? I ditched the idea of that package because I heard that it has enough resonance to be a nuisance. I can find that package for about $500. Is it still resonance free? Did you get anywhere near the HP/TQ gains they advertise?
I had thought about using some DeltaFlow 40s or 50s and custom tips instead of the LT1 cans as an option.

As far as the original post... You can order those pieces separate... I think that piping, with a pair of flowmasters (from summit), instead of the listed mufflers would be a good combo... The piping look fine (as long as it's 2 3/4"), I just dunno about those mufflers... I dont like that there isnt a name with em...

Thats a pretty good deal on a factory replacement system thats complete. For a decent "quiet" exhaust you could use their LT4 resonator assembly and add a set of Borlas for the mufflers. Its a full 2.75" system that would perform well and quietly on a engine with mild performance mods.

The older package (American Thunder) had resonance issues from what I read when I was researching catback systems... The Force II was supposed to be more mellow system, so I took a chance and have been happy ever since...
The only problem which seems common is fitment... If you're installing it yourself, be prepared to do some pipe bending/modifications to the rear piece that goes under the rear diff... A few of us on the forum have had the same problem... If I would have known that ahead of time I would have had a shop install it where they have the right equipment and experience in making things fit right...
I don't know about HP gains as I haven't had this car on the dyno... I bought it for sound more than anything else...
