I'm picking up a set of wheels to race with and they're ZR1 offset with 11" rear wheels. Is it possible to run ZR1 offset wheels on a regular vette? What will this look like?
The front rims are the same size and offset so that's not the problem I'm worried about the rears. I know grand sport offset wheels are no problem so I'm comparing the two offsets but I'm not sure what this means.
You have it backwards, GS rears are 50mm and ZR1 wheels are 38mm.
ZR1 rears on a 92 will stick out from the fender wheels, by almost an inch.
This man is right. The ZR1 rea was wider and the differetn offset kept the wheels right at the wheel well. The Grandsport had flares but not to the extent of the wider ZR1 rear end Hence the wheel nedgin to tuck in a touch more.

Grand Sport rear is: +36.5 mm w/ 7.397 backset
ZR1 rear offset is: +50 mm w/ 7.93 backset
I had ZR1 offset A-molds on my 96 for about a year before I switched to black GS-style ones. The stuck out, but only about 1/2 inch. Honestly, when I bought them I didn't even know they were ZR1 offset, and when I mounted them they certainly didn't stick out nearly enough for me to think they were. You can always ger a set of GS fender flares to cover them up as well.
