Any ideas where to start to fix the following trouble code:
P1441 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) System Flow During Non-Purge
Its coming from a 96 LT1, Thanks Any advice is appreciated
Had the same problem in my '96 earlier in the year. Come to find out it was the purge solenoid (Is that what it's called?) located under the right side fuel rail covers.. Could be the same problem, it was only a $20 part, I think..
I'm at work right now, but if I remember, I'll try to get a pic of it tonight when I get home..
Also, if you don't have a service manual I can look up the trouble shooting section for you..
Great! Hopefully thats all it is. I haven't had any performance problems, did you before you replaced the purge solenoid? I appreciate your help, lookin forward to getting this light to go out. The previous owner was nice enough to remove the service engine light bulb, but I replaced it to catch any codes that might pop up. I'm glad I did. I do not have a service manual so any troubleshooting tips or pictures would be helpful.

Finally!!.. Sorry took so long, was fighting with the %$#@#! scanner..
To answer your question. Nope car ran great, only thing was the Check Engine light was on all the time.
Really nice of your car's previous owner to remove the light. makes you wonder what else was, ahem "fixed".
Anyways.. I've got the pages scanned, it's about 8 megs of jpeg's (sorry I scanned them kinda big) so I'll host them on my website. You can find the pages here www.stlcorvettes.net/images/Docs/evap.htm
Hope the GM police doesn't come after me..
Good luck..
Let me know when you're done with the pages. (So's I can clean it up.. heh )
Hope it is. You ran through the trouble shooting? Don't want to see you throwing parts at it in hopes it's the fix. Could be something simple like a cracked vacuum hose.
Thanks BLK-94 I replaced the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve today cleared the codes and took it for a 105 mile cruise, no service engine light Then won't you know, I stop for an errand and the vats acts up, no start for about 5 minutes. I think its time for a new key to be made. Thanks again, this forum kicks ***!

Glad to hear it fixed the problem..
Sorry to hear the vats is now causing problems. It never fails, fix one thing and something else wants your attention. Although this one sounds like its an easy fix, could be just need to clean the contacts on the key or lock cylinder..
