OK, I have decided to go with 17x11 rear 17x9.5 front ZR1 rims. Has anyone dealt with AFSwheels or O E rims on ebay? They both have them in black and O E is close enough to here for me to not pay shipping, but I am curious as to why their prices are so much lower. I can not tell if they are an inferior product...

Also, I can use the 88-99 zr1 rims if I get spacers, correct? Are there any negative effects to doing this? And do I just subtract the new offsets from the old to tell what size spacers I need?

Thanks in advance!

Don't know about O E but AFS uses a weaker Aluminum Alloy then does the original Japanese supplier of the GM wheels. I think there is also the issue that the center caps sometimes do not look OEM--could be wrong on that.

For most, AFS are fine. I personally found myself some used original GM rims.

yeah, but everyone seems to want more for the OE rims, and I am a broke college student with a money hungry toy lol...If I could find a decent set of originals I would definitely jump on them...

AFS is pretty good to deal with.

AFS makes a very good wheel and OE Concepts probably does too although I have no experience with them. Up until 3 years ago, AFS Wheels were made in the US (the ones on my 92 are stamped Made In USA) but now, like most other wheel manufacturing companies, they are made in Japan or China.

The center caps are very close to an exact reproduction of the OEM center caps. Some aftermarket wheels do not have the logo on the center cap at all.

There was a thread here recently that stated that the AFS GS type wheels (black spokes) was out of stock and AFS had no idea when they would get more. I would call them to make sure they have some. BTW, AFS also sells a "blemished" wheel that usually have some very small cosmetic defects and the prices are much lower than the advertised price. AFS usually offers free shipping with blem wheels.

I just got the AFS wheels and they are beautiful. I have an 86, so I needed the 84-87 offset. I posted quite a few posts about adapters a couple of weeks ago, and I decided to just get the 17x9.5s since AFS has them to fit my 86. I origionally wanted 17x9.5 in front and 17x11 in back, but they don't have the 17x11s for 84-87 right now. They said they had no idea when they would have more. Wheel adapters are unsafe from what I have been told. Good Luck.
